RAS AL KHAIMAH, 13th May 2025 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received a delegation from the United Kingdom's Royal College of Defence Studies, led by Philip Parham, Director at the College and former UK Ambassador to the UAE.
The meeting was held at His Highness' palace in the Saqr bin Mohammed City, in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah.
H.H. Sheikh Saud warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and was briefed on the academic programmes offered by the College, particularly in the fields of strategic and defence studies.
During the meeting, RAK Ruler praised the College's pivotal role in preparing senior military leadership across the globe. He highlighted its contributions in enhancing analytical and strategic thinking and deepening understanding of global security and defence issues.
He also underscored the importance of building international partnerships in strategic studies and commended the efforts of esteemed academic institutions in promoting regional and international security and stability.
The visiting delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to His Highness for the warm hospitality and generous reception.
They also lauded the UAE's significant advancements in defence, security, and strategic education, recognising the country as a leading model for fostering regional and global stability.
