Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], July 7 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in 'Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh' event held in Punjab's Ludhiana on Monday and said that the response he received from Punjab was very encouraging.
CM Yadav also emphasised that businessmen in Punjab already have relations with Madhya Pradesh and to strengthen that relationship, businessmen should establish businesses in Punjab as well as in Madhya Pradesh too.
Speaking to ANI, the CM said, 'The response that we are getting from Punjab is very encouraging. We held a discussion session with over 400 businessmen here in Ludhiana. I had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with more than 15 businessmen. Ludhiana is like the capital of business in India. I believe businessmen in Punjab already have relations with Madhya Pradesh. To strengthen that relationship, they should establish businesses in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh too.'
'We came here to discuss the schemes of various departments transparently and the state government motivates and encourages entrepreneurs to set up industries on the basis of its policies. And especially electricity, water, land, connectivity, all these things are easily available and this is what entrepreneurs need so that they can deliver their products across the country and to the world. In such a situation, Madhya Pradesh is an ideal destination,' he added.
Additionally, while addressing the program, the Chief Minister stressed that the two states need to work together.
'The history of Ludhiana is older than the Indus Valley Civilisation...The people here with an entrepreneurial mindset have created their own identities through their businesses. In the post-independence era, the business of cycle brands like Avon and Hero was established...I believe Madhya Pradesh and Punjab are like separated brothers. If Punjab is an elder brother, then Madhya Pradesh is like a younger brother. We need to work together...,' CM Yadav said.
Furthermore, addressing the reporters, CM Yadav said that they received various investment proposals worth around Rs 15,606 crores from various inventors in Ludhiana's Interactive session on Investment Opportunities, with around 20,000 employment opportunities.
'The Madhya Pradesh government organised a roadshow (Interactive session on Investment Opportunities) to encourage businessmen to establish businesses here as well as in Madhya Pradesh. Ludhiana is like the Manchester of business in India. The program concluded with the participation of more than 400 delegates and detailed discussions were held with investors of textile, ready-made garments, engineering, cycle, autoparts, machine tools, sport equipment, etc,' the CM said.
'We provided information on how to boost business through our policies. Most of the businessmen here showed interest in investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh...We received various investment proposals in today's event. Investment Proposals of around Rs 15,606 crores have been received which will generate employment opportunities for nearly 20,000 people,' he added. (ANI)
